If the Cardinals are going to get back in the Central Division race and be a contender, it is now or never. In my eyes it is an absolute must that the team win five out of the six games versus Milwaukee - six of six would be dynamite. If the Cardinals can accomplish that feat, it could make for a very interesting and entertaining month of baseball.

Let's look back at the recent trades made by John Mozeliak - in my opinion it looks like they will pay off. We know that Edwin Jackson will get his innings of work during the last month of September and will find himself in the rotation next year. The few and remaining days of the season will also give us an opportunity to get a preview to see if and how Mark Rzepczynski will fit in the rotation for the 2012 season. Jason Motte will also be watched closely to see if he will become the reoccurring closer in September. The last month in baseball is also a big month for the youngsters to prove themselves -John Jay, Daniel Descalso and David Freese, as well as Skip Schumaker, still are going to be giving it all they've got to fight for their position for the 2012 season.

There is also no question the General Manager and owners have some major decisions during this off season. A bulk of the Cardinals' money will be decided amongst the following players: Lance Berkman, Chris Carpenter, Rafael Furcal and of course Albert Pujols. The Cardinals need you fans now more than ever, so come on down this weekend and root for the Redbirds. On your way down to the ballpark, stop by Shannon's for your pre and post game festivities.

New happy hour starting at 2 p.m.

The Cardinals have launched the Like Mike campaign to celebrate Mike Shannon's 40 years in the broadcast booth and we need your help.

Please go to the National Baseball Hall of Fame's Facebook page http://apps.facebook.com/my-polls/itldj7o2 to vote to nominate Mike Shannon to receive the Ford C. Frick Award - the highest honor given to a baseball broadcaster.

Who was the 1985 Rookie of the Year?

This month we are going to highlight the 2008 Dominus which is a wine of great purity and definition, with distinct berry aromas and a supple yet precise palate. Deep blackberry and dark plums complement fine mineral notes. This wine is intensely perfumed, velvety and ethereal. The 2008 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. This will pair perfectly with the Crown Filet, your server will recommend decanting the wine prior to serving, to allow it to develop its full potential. Ask your server for more details on this limited liquid treasure.

This month I am pleased to feature once again the Crown Filet. This 12-ounce Filet is topped with a Cajun Seared Crab Cake, a Jumbo Shrimp, and Bearnaise Sauce. This is a beautiful dish which tastes even better than it looks. Come down and treat yourself to this wonderful entree and enjoy. Call and make your reservations today.
